flying is defined this way:

to be carried through the air by the wind or any other force or agency.

ahem. now, looking at these two definitions and thinking of Aang's flight patterns, I believe he does not glide. He does not always travel downwards at an angle, for he occasionally even travels upwards in the air. He IS carried through the air by wind, so the term flight applies.

Water is the best and not just because of blood bending!!! blood bending if anything isnt all that great. water benders heal, and water is pratically every where like name one place where there isnt water and not the sun. even in the desert because there are under ground water springs and desert plants have a ton of water in them. Clouds, snow, ice, rivers , the ocean, lakes, people, plants, animals ect... water benders rule and that is a fact. air benders can only fly...who cares. what else do they do, nothing because they are all dead. Earthbenders are second best to water, because earth and metal is every where but take away that, like tie their arms and legs up and hang them from a tree with a rope and what do you have, nothing(besides the king of omashu who can bend with his face). water benders are the Shizz and no one can say anything.
